A wide variety of moulding and finishing techniques help us to offer our clients the best solutions each and every time. These include Vacuum Forming, Thermoforming, Drape Forming, Press Moulding, Fabrication, CNC Machining and Component Assembly.
Vacuum Forming, is a simplified version of Thermoforming, whereby a sheet of plastic is heated to a forming temperature, stretched onto or into a single-surface mould and held against the mould by applying vacuum between the mould surface and the sheet.
The Vacuum Forming process can be used to make a large variety of products, such as shower trays, dashboards, promotional display units, signage, machine covers, to mention a few.
Normally, draft angles must be present in the design on the mould (a recommended minimum of 3°), otherwise release of the formed plastic and the mould is very difficult.
A similar process to Vacuum Forming but is more often associated with thin gauge film used in packaging and cup manufacture.
Cold or hot folding, machining profiles and assembly of flat plastic sheet.
3 and 5 axis trimming of plastic parts.
If you need a mould that is not listed above be sure to contact us and we'll propose options available to you. It may be that a bespoke solution is most appropriate or a modified version of what we already do may suffice. Let us know what it is you need and we will find the best solution for you.
